BBBEE Pro ("we", "us") is a monitoring and measurement tool that helps South African businesses calculate, track, and optimise their Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) scorecards. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email address, and authentication details.
Assessment data: company information, financial indicators, ownership figures, and scorecard inputs you enter.
Documents you upload as supporting evidence for verification.
Usage data: pages visited and feature interactions, used to improve the product.

2. How we use your information

To provide and maintain the service, calculate indicative B-BBEE scores, generate reports, send renewal reminders, and communicate product updates. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Data residency & security

Your data is stored securely with encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

4. Sharing

We share data only with processors necessary to operate the platform (e.g. cloud hosting and payment processing via Payfast) under written agreement, or where required by law. Public scorecard links are only created when you explicitly enable sharing.

5. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent for marketing communications. Contact our Information Officer via the in-app Feedback tool.
